Kayak Lake Tahoe
.
Stormy Days, Stormy Nights!

Ray and I drove up the night before our Emerald Bay kayak camping trip. This is what greeted us in the middle of the night at our camp by Echo Summit.

This is at Camp Richardson Marina on the Southwest side of Lake Tahoe. We were suppose to launch this morning. It's almost 3 in the afternoon and we are not sure we are going paddling. To the left of us is a jet ski smashed under someone's deck. To bad I didn't take a photo. Note the end of this floating dock is moving up and down about 3 feet. The Marina operators put the yellow caution tape up after we had our little roller coaster ride on the dock.

We ate lunch at the cantina while watching the waves and the weather. Eventually the lake calmed down and we launched for Emerald Bay as lightening was heading our way. The weather was great the rest of the trip.
